David Ngigi is an Organization Development Specialist with a Master’s in Business Administration from the United States International University in Africa, Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
With over 20 years of experience spanning the public, private, and international development sectors, David has cultivated a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics. His career has encompassed roles in business development and organization development across various industries, including ICT, logistics, manufacturing, and development agencies across Africa.
David’s expertise lies in designing and implementing programmatic and financial management capacity building engagements for donor-funded projects across multiple African countries. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including prominent organizations such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IFC/Gulf Energy, International Rescue Committee (IRC), and The Global Fund, among others.
Some of David’s notable engagements include conducting capacity assessments and program reviews for initiatives aimed at women’s economic empowerment, clean energy business development, livelihoods improvement in marginalized communities, and digital employment creation programs. He has also provided strategic planning support for major corporations like Safaricom.
David’s recent work includes serving as a senior consultant for Gavi Monitoring Reviews in Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia, where he provided expertise in organizational structure assessment, financial management, and capacity building for healthcare programs.
With a proven track record of driving impactful change and enhancing organizational effectiveness, David continues to be a trusted advisor and consultant in the field of organization development and capacity building across Africa.
